Ireland did the bulk of the scouting and gave his evaluations to Parcells, but Parcells made the final decision on who to pick (it was Parcells who wanted Pat White for example, not Ireland- Ireland advised against picking White as a matter of fact, but Parcells did what he wanted and ignored Ireland). Last year's draft was the first that Ireland was truly in charge of, and it was a pretty good draft- best of the last 5 years top to bottom for sure.I thought Ireland was the GM and Parcells allowed him to make the selections and evalutate? I could be wrong.
I am not going to question Harbaugh, he can't make Evans catch the ball or Flacco to make the right decision and run for the first. He will work on these next year. But Harbaugh just keeps winning and has nothing to be ashamed about for yesterday.

Manning won't happen unless Miami's where he really wants to be. And if he's still playing, I can't see it...he's going to look for a team that's a quarterback away from Super Bowl contention (Houston, SF, and maybe Seattle, I'm looking at you). I don't think he goes to NY but nothing would surprise me if he gets cut and/or restructures his contract.
Since Miami has become a place where quarterbacks seek redemption, I wouldn't be surprised if Jason Campbell is brought in. He won't be a Raider this coming year and might be the best value of the bunch in a trade or sign scenario. But I'm unconvinced that he's an upgrade from Moore.
The booby prize might be Kolb, who's due $7 million of a roster bonus this coming year. Arizona would have to be batsh!t crazy to pay him that, he was essentially a healthy scratch for the last 2-3 games.

Fair enough. The Fins draft last year was very good, so maybe you DO have something here.

I don't know if you can say that. Pouncey appears to have been a good pick, but the jury is still out on the remainder. I'm not convinced about Daniel Thomas, and was hugely disappointed when we passed on Mallett.

I think Thomas will be a good compliment to Bush if he can stay healthy. His biggest problem last year was staying on the field, I think he missed 4 or 5 games with a nagging groin injury. Charles Clay looks like a steal in the 3rd and Jimmy Wilson was a GREAT get in the 7th round. Clyde Gates has a lot of work to do still, but he showed improvement as the season went on as well.I don't know if you can say that. So, since we're clearly in the market for a quarterback, who should we go after in free agency; Manning, Flynn, or other?

It's pretty much official: Peyton Manning will become a free agent as of 4 PM Thursday.
So, since we're clearly in the market for a quarterback, who should we go after in free agency; Manning, Flynn, or other?
I'd like them to explore what it would take to get RG3. If it's two first and other stuff, I'd do it.

I just don't see it happening. Then again...I'm very pessimistic. I'd love to be proven wrong.

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

On the good news front:
The Seahawks also have discussed Flynn internally, but they plan to bring in other quarterbacks first.
So it looks like the quarterback floor for us is two of Moore, Flynn and/or Tannehill, as the only team ahead of us in the draft that needs a quarterback is also the only team willing to go after Flynn with us.

And now the truth comes out about one of the reasons why Marshall was traded.
On the good news front:
So it looks like the quarterback floor for us is two of Moore, Flynn and/or Tannehill, as the only team ahead of us in the draft that needs a quarterback is also the only team willing to go after Flynn with us.
Right now, the Marshall "incident" seems to be overblown. Some guy threw a bottle at his wife. Marshall decided to fight back and accidentally hit a woman in the process. I don't think he's been arrested or charged with anything yet, which seems to back up his side of the story.
It's just a cover for what demonstrates Ireland's total incompetence and the clown show he's created in Miami. Hey Jeff, it's called "buy low, sell high," not the other way around you sub-100 IQ buffoon. Yeah, and I'm sure Peyton Manning wants to spend the next couple of years getting pummeled while he's waiting for Brian Hartline and Anthony Fasano to get open.
Now he have the second coming of Cam Cameron for a coach and quite possibly a quarterback who's the second coming of AJ Feeley. I know what Jeff's thinking: "It's a really good idea to throw $10 million per year at a seventh round backup qb who has played in 2 games. It's proven to have worked out in KC with Matt Cassell, Charlie Whitehurst in Seattle and Kevin Kolb in Arizona. What can possibly go wrong."
Jeff, please do the decent thing, and resign immediately and return all the money you've managed to steal from the team considering that a fruit bowl could do a better job than you've done.

I still agree that Ireland needs to go, but I'm not sad to lose Marshall. Whether he beats women or not.
