If he were traded to the Rangers it would have put them out of contention for signing Parise in the offseason.

I dont think they were much of a worry in signing him with/without Nash. Detroit still is.

Well, for what ever reason the Rangers are pretty deft at moving large salary to accommodate new superstars. Having Nash wouldn't keep them from Parise anyway.I am.....
