Was at the game last night, sat 10 rows from the ice across from the Devils bench. It was absolutely one of the best Devils/Rangers games I've been to in a while, regardless of the outcome. The renovation to MSG is actually pretty impressive -- not so much the seating area, but the concourse itself is really nice.

The fans were pretty cool all night. Seems like the Rangers fans are a little less uptight now that they are owning the standings

As for the no-goal at the end of the game, I had an ice-level view of the whole thing and it was absolutely 110% the right call, all Devils bias aside. Volchenkov barely had ANY weight going into Gaborik whatsoever. Ranger fans will undoubtedly disagree, but even so, they're analyzing the wrong part of the rule. It's the fact that Gaborik made absolutely NO attempt whatsoever to avoid Brodeur that ultimately sank them.

But of course, that jackass Micheletti preaches about Volchenkov. Typical.

I think the replay from the overhead angle shows it best that there is no push from Volchenkov. Anyone have the link to that video?

Hedberg believes that Gaborik was still capable of avoiding Brodeur if he wanted.

One bad call goes their way and the Ranger fans especially act like they been robbed of a playoff berth or something. As said before, the refs have one view on it and they are viewing the whole ice which includes the Ranger who was carrying the puck up along with Gaborik/Volchenkov.

Personally I'd be pissed off because of where we are in the standings but if I was in the Rangers position I'd be mad but I wouldn't bitch about it for thirty minutes of the post game.

If we make the playoffs....I want the Rangers first round.

He didn't get pushed at all. He was coming in at high speed with no intention of stopping, and Volchenkov was on his ass. If you watch the replay, there is no push.

Ray Charles could of seen that he had no intentions of stopping trying to draw a penalty. You try to cheat you get caught Gaborik.

Haha I just played it about 10 times in a row and it is just as funny the first time as it is the last time. When he says "brutal call" if you freeze the video it looks like is sneezing and having a seizure at the same time.

It would be nice to see Parise know that we don't need the goal there. If there were more than 20 seconds to go, I'd like his attempt since it locks up the game. But there were only 10 seconds left when he tried to shoot the puck basically through a defender. Simply dumping and pressuring can run the clock out there, but a shot that was blocked put us in the predicament that we witnessed.

Are you referring to the "photo gallery" of Kovalchuk and Clarkson celebrating their goal against the Rangers? It could've been from the previous home game vs the Rags since they are in red jerseys..

If that is it, then I do not count that as a mistake since the picture does not specify a date, so it could easily have been from last week's game.
