Hedberg vs Halak tonight http://www2.dailyfac...arting-goalies/

In six career starts against the Devils, Halak has a 2-3-1 record with a 2.46 GAA and .927 SV%.

The Blues road record isn't that impressive either. This is the first game I've been excited for since the ASB ended believe it or not. All the other games I was scared sh!tless, this one I'm actually really stoked for!!

Frazee is called up to serve as an insurance in case Marty is not ready to go. Projected line-up

Zach Parise - Patrik Elias - Ilya Kovalchuk
Petr Sykora - Dainius Zubrus - David Clarkson
Alexei Ponikarovsky - Adam Henrique - Steve Bernier
Eric Boulton - Jacob Josefson - Cam Janssen

Andy Greene - Mark Fayne
Bryce Salvador - Anton Volchenkov
Matt Taormina - Kurtis Foster

Four of the Devils' five victories during their current run have come against teams currently holding postseason spots in the East. The steak began with a 4-3 shootout win over the East-leading New York Rangers on Jan. 31.

The "steak" began...let' keep the "steak" going.

Besides the 4th line being a little goonish and Foster, the Devils look solid.
Would it be weird to move Henrique up to the 2nd line and move Sykora to the 3rd? Thad be a potent 2nd line. Didn't Sykora used to play C?

Bobby Holik wouldn't name a (Christmas) song. He said: "Music means nothing to me." When Tom Gulitti of the
Record suggested he'd be called Scrooge, Holik said: "It won't be the first time." -Bobby Holik Christmas 2008

“I made a decision to be here. Just because the team is going through a rough time doesn’t mean you leave. This has become my second home. I love playing here. Patrik Elias January 31, 2011

last game against them we lost after 2 freak goals... a point shot that missed the net and bounced back in Mckenna's back and in the net and the other goal where the fvcking ref was almost on his knees with a flashlight behind the net looking for the puck under mckenna's pad and wouldnt whistle until pietrangelo would swoop his stick between the pads and drag it out in the net

And in terms of Who to Root For - go Tampa Bay (over the Rangers), Toronto (over the Flyers), and Winnipeg (over the Caps).

Six in a row tonight, Devils, let's go!

I'd rather not have any of the players go after him, that could really divide the room and there's no reason for a player to hunt him down. Jamie's issues were with his boss, the media and perhaps family-wise but he never really had any known issues with his teammates other than a couple of silly preseason scuffles with Zubrus and White (and Whitey refused the C after that so clearly it had no lasting effect with him).

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

soooo true.. the last thing this team needs right now is any sort of divide or anything that would make us play less like a team. no need to head hunt langs, just play the game, and play it as well as we have been

3rd Line is the key. I want to see them scoring, especially with Hitchcock and his progressive line changes. lgd!
