Bit to early for an "I told you so", but so far so good.
Fasth is hot (7-0-0, 1.78, .936 in last 8 GPI).

I actually just saw Wedgewood play in Trenton yesterday. I liked what I saw, he seems like he could be a solid goalie in time. Trenton lost 4-1, he allowed 3 goals (plus an empty netter), but only one of them could he really do anything about. I don't know what his overall ceiling is, but I'd be interested to see more of him.Just curious, how's Wedgewood coming along? I haven't been following him much so I was wondering how he's progressing as a 20 y/o goalie

I'm all for a goalie we can promote with cheesy puns as long as he has the stats to not make it ironic *cough*quick
a fast wedge combo would be lethal weapon for the devils to have against the new york media.

Anaheim already has this guy, so we really can't talk about this guy because he hasn't lost a game yet and i'm pretty sure he's already taken the job from hiller or is will in the future

Fvck timestamps!
Seems like every single time somebody bumps an old thread, there always has to be at least one person who doesn't get it and responds as if it was brand new.

Didn't realize til now that this was an old thread. Marshall should freelance scout for the Devils...

I'd completely forgotten about this thread, otherwise I'd resurrected it earlier and bragged about it until the cows went home.

Clermont was the goalie for the other team, also. Didn't look bad but Trenton's terrible. Only goal he allowed was on a wraparound rebound.
Any idea how Clarkson's brother is doing?

i wonder if the ducks would keep hiller based on fasth's performance
I'm sure they'll keep him until next season. I think every GM realizes the stats may come out weird at the end of the year for some players, you're gonna see players have years better than they ever could have had in a full season, so I doubt you see a GM dump an NHL tested goalie that's shown flashes of being very good in Hiller for an untested newcomer from the SEL with 8 NHL games under his belt. If Fasth is willing to be a #2 or #1b until about 20 games in next season, he could be the established #1 there by then.
