see, now i think getting Grossman and Kubina are great moves for the Flyers. they dont really give that much and they just added two guys that stand at 6'4" with Grossman at 230lbs and Kubina at 258. the flyers basically just got huge

I'm not blown away by this deal. I suppose this and Grossman improve the flyers but they still have questionable goaltending and are as much a crapshoot as everyone besides NYR and BOS out of the East.

yea but getting huge on defense is just about the best thing they could have done to help that goals against category

Being big isn't as important as being positionally sound and quick. I could argue Andy Greene is just about as good as these guys and he's a might on ice in comparison.

Holmgren is living his NHL 12 dream. I heard another package was Couturier, JVR, and Schenn. I'd do that for Zach lol.

Philly getting Nash for JVR, Bob, and one of schenn or couturier would be fine w/ me. Does not make them better and their summer cap is a mess b//c Pronger is a part of it. I wa hoping the rangers tore themselves apart to get him bit Philly is fine too.

honestly, i would way rather see philly NOT get Nash. because we cant deny it thats a good addition and looks pretty dangerous

Well hopefully Kubina is slow. Will he be effective or just be a slow big body? We'll see.

if philly really wanted nash and i was the jackets GM i'd ask for JVR, Bobs, 1st, ++ or Giroux dare I say?

Looking back we got Kovy for such little. Oduya is really nothing huge now. Bergfors is in Europe? Cormier isn't any breakout player just yet and the 2nd rounders were just merely flipped.

The last thing that they need is more scoring.. They are #1 in scoring in the NHL, so unless Homer feels that 7+ goals a game is the only way to overcome Bryz's mediocrity, then why the hell would they trade some of their future for Nash?
