In two starts against the Bruins this season, Brodeur has a 0-2-1 record with a 4.54 GAA and .824 SV%.

It's not terribly clear to me.

I know some fans are starting to get nervous, with the three-game losing streak, but all things considered, the Devils are in reasonably good shape. They now have no real shot at the division title, but that was a longshot anyway at best. But they are still very much in play for the 4th seed, and they have games in hand on EVERYONE below them in the standings, including three in hand on Winnipeg, and two in hand on Toronto. And the fact is, in the topsy-turvy world of today's NHL, teams have a way of looking unbeatable for long stretches, then suddenly very vulnerable...tonight's opponent is a great example.
So enjoy the Devils being relevant and in the thick of the playoff race...I don't know what they'll do when they make the playoffs, but at least they're extremely likely to be getting in.
