RT @TGfireandice Devils are shutting themselves out in this game. Nilsson hasn't look confident on any of the 10 shots he's faced.

Very confused as to what the Devils game plan is here.

Looks like Kovy is the only one with a little jump in his gm, the rest of the team is dead.

I dont think so he has like half of our shots...and Kovalchuk*

He has more turnovers than shots and I can really care less how his name is spelled.
The entire team as a whole is playing like garbage. They cant complete two passes before coughing it up.
Good to know they can compete and keep it close with the Islanders! Hurray only 1-0 nbd.

You're not going to win a lot of games with 12 SOG.

Have the Devils even won an afternoon game this season?

I'm sure they have, I just can't recall one

The Devils are fortunate this is just a 1-0 game right now. Hopefully they can turn it around in the 3rd period and win.

If the Devils get a split over the next four games, I'll take it. That may be aiming low, but for some reason they always have issues with the Islanders, and we all know the deal with Lundqvist. I just want them to avoid a disaster scenario.

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Wow. Really hard to make a case for the Devils deserving to win this game. But still only down by one...

Poor Marty. This team is so lucky to be where they are. He's turned his game around and this team just still remains inconsistent. Very frustrating team to watch.

10 minutes left down 1-0. The way it feels: 2 minutes left down 4-0.
Embarrassing getting shut out by this goalie but not surprising.
