of the Devils' mascot, NJ Devil, and
of all mascots far and wide.IT IS VERY HARD TO WIN ONE STANLEY CUP, FORGET ABOUT THREE... and maybe it's high time some of you actually APPRECIATED THAT instead of treating it like it's some flipping birthright because for some random reason you rooted for the damn Devils!!!!!

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

What an exciting game it was!
Brodeur is awesome!
I can't believe how wrong Avery was about Clarkson being a "minor league" player."

Messier's guarantee was empty and a win-win for him. If we didn't win, he showed passion and its forgotten. When we did, it became legend... (wait for it) ...dary

^Seriously, this is the number one comeback about how the devils have been better than the rangers for the last 15 years. "Who cares about the past, i live in the present"

Hey don't feel bad about it SMT3. I think the mere fact that no one could think of anything "smart" that Rangers fans say supports your cause.
Lol right on

I like when Ranger fans actually buy Brodeur's jersey, rip off Bordeur's name & replace it with 'I Suck'.
Yes I've seen this happen.

It doesn't matter when you can just keep celebrating the same Cup win over and over and over again, like the Ranger franchise and their fans do.
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!
Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime? - Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.
Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.
It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

I'm waiting for them to retire Steve Larmer's number next.

I was thinking something similar...maybe Brian Noonan?
