I feel the quality of education a community has is based on the community, and not how much you pay the teachers and their administration.
I believe that to be true, too.
Regarding the press/media, this is a very difficult obstacle. I work in the media, and I find that most reporters and editors are politically liberal. It's the case where I work, and I work for a business publication for crying out loud!
