of the Devils' mascot, NJ Devil, and
of all mascots far and wide.IT IS VERY HARD TO WIN ONE STANLEY CUP, FORGET ABOUT THREE... and maybe it's high time some of you actually APPRECIATED THAT instead of treating it like it's some flipping birthright because for some random reason you rooted for the damn Devils!!!!!

FYI, I said there were 8 teams who played 14 playoff games in the first 2 rounds and advanced, but it's only 7. They are a combined 11-28.

What kind of seeding did those teams come in with? I feel like that sounds more like the story of some underdog team that scrapped its way to 1st and 2nd round victories than a President's Trophy contender battling with teams that maybe should have been much inferior to them.Yeah, picking them out of the playoffs and to lose in the first two rounds didn't work out for him.

2010 Canadiens: 8 (19th in NHL in points)
2009 Hurricanes: 7 (11th in NHL in points)
2003 Wild: 7 (10th in NHL in points)
2002 Maple Leafs: 4 (2nd in NHL in points)
2002 Avalanche: 3 (5th in NHL in points)
1993 Maple Leafs: 3rd in Norris Division (Divisional Playoffs - 8th in NHL in points)
1990 Blackhawks: Norris Division Champion (6th out of 21 in NHL in points)
I don't think the seeding matters all *that* much - I agree that the Rangers haven't been that substantially outplayed in either series, not like 2010 Montreal or (probably) the 2003 Wild.

2010 Canadiens: 8 (19th in NHL in points) 4-1 vs 7th seed Philly
2009 Hurricanes: 6 (11th in NHL in points) Swept vs 4th seed Pitt
2003 Wild: 6 (10th in NHL in points) Swept vs 7th seed Ducks
2002 Maple Leafs: 4 (2nd in NHL in points) 4-2 vs 3rd seed Carolina
2002 Avalanche: 3 (5th in NHL in points) 4-3 vs 1st seed Detroit
1993 Maple Leafs: 3rd in Norris Division (Divisional Playoffs - 8th in NHL in points) 4-3 vs 3rd Symthe
Los Angeles
1990 Blackhawks: Norris Division Champion (6th out of 21 in NHL in points) 4-2 vs 2nd Smythe 90pts Edmonton Oilers
some additional info....5 of the 7 lost the 1st game in the series which if we're hoping for the rangers to be worn out it would make sense that game 1 should present an advantage
on the bad side most of these teams were the lower seed or had less pts 5 of 7
i'm hoping that the rangers are still feeling pain come mon...feeling nervous

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03
