The devils defense doesn't get involved nearly as much offensively as Florida's does. I think that's a lot of the devils problem with the Jekyll and hyde play we see. Forwards cant sustain an attack for stretches of time with no support from the back end. This team asks alot of its forwards, sometimes too much.

Devils are at least standing up the panthers now on there own blue line instead of just backing off, letting them make the long outlet pass, and walk into the zone like they did in the 2nd.

..... Theo gave up 3 goals, 2 of which would have lead to Marty getting hung in effigy had he let them in.
NO ONE is saying anything about Marty except that that ONE goal was soft and that he needs to play big for us to win this game. Theodore let in a few ok ones but had some ridiculous saves of the 23 he stopped in the first. Also, there has been no bigger supporter of Marty this season than me. When he lets in a soft one, I say it.

Devils have done a nice job calming the game down and restoring order...still got a ways to go though.
THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
