Has this been proven or is it just Devils PR statement?

There are other teams out there with their own smartphone apps and the like that the Devils do not have.

i think it's from a forbes research article on the devils introducing new social network with the generals etc.

It's sh!t like this, the sh!t this 2nd rate organization pulls, that makes the 3-2 deficit all the more infuriating.

Come on Devils, beat these..nothings! They can't draft, they barely made the playoffs (and seriously benefitted from the stupid division rules), they are a 1 line PP team.

And yet, here we are. Devils facing elimination tomorrow night.

But overall compared to a lot of other teams NJ has a pretty good social media presence.

The Devils have won a handful of awards in the past few years for a pretty wide variety of social media programs they've implemented and continue to implement. A lot of different facets of our public relations are totally inept but our online presence is pretty advanced, especially compared to the Florida Panthers.

oh, wa wa waaa! All they're doing is copying Detroit with the octopus but with a twist on their rat problems in the past in their building. Look, it's just stupid to go throwing them on the ice whenever during the game. HAT tricks are a tradition, but even that slows things down while they clean up. Save it for after the game. It costs the team a penalty and you could be escorted out by the security.

I'm all for celebrating but just kind of dumb the way they do it.

I gotta give 'em this much, it was a frigging genius move to sell rats at $5 a pop, have 20,000 of them hit the ice after the game, then pick 'em up and re-sell them again. Basically it comes out to $100,000 per win and all they have to do is recycle merchandise.

They made a huge mistake though, angering the fanbase before Game 6. Instead of us being nervous and annoyed with our own team, now we're angry and want blood.

True! I'm actually surprised how hostile the atmosphere has been the past two games for Panthers fans and idiots in Rangers jerseys. Not dangerous or stupid hostile but definitely making the game experience unpleasant for them. I think it's a good thing, and hopefully carries on throughout next season. We're such pushovers anytime the Rags or Flyers infest our building.
