The Devils looking two steps slower and easily overwhelmed...yep, we've seen this before, quite a bit since 2004, especially come playoff time. Kinda too bad, in that the first period had me hoping a little, but it looks like that first period was due to the Flyers being rusty more than anything else. It just sucks to watch...this matchup is just as rotten for the Devils as it was two years ago.
Maybe the Devils find a way to take this series to six games (I didn't really see how a case could be made for anything more going in), but it's got the feel of a five-game series. It's 2010 all over again.

Yep, they had enough trouble with the panthers a forward that isnt even in the top 25 in the league and another forward that only shows up in the spring. theyre doing the same things this round 2+ periods in and a better team is making them pay and theyll make them pay for things the panthers couldnt too.

There is a devils fan here at the bar watching the game and every time a devils player enters the offensive zone with the puck he keeps screaming " set the pick!". No one has the slightest clue as to what that means.

Dude, we've had exactly 'one' good chance on net since the Flyers worked off the rust in the first period. And it's not like they're not trying. At this point I'm starting to think the fact the last series was as close as it was said more about us than it did the Panthers.
