1. Because their fans are as bad as the Leafs fans.
2. Because they brag too much (like Leafs) about nothing.
3. Because I hate their coach (with passion).
4. Because they own the referees and run the entire NBA.
5. Because I hate their fans (ooops, I think I already said that).

And did I say I dislike Kobe Bryant as much as I dislike the Toronto Maple Leafs?

Why fight it, they're going to win AGAIN. The star players and teams run that league, that's one of the reasons I don't watch basketball anymore.

Umm, and the fact that they had the referees in their pockets doesn't make any difference? I don't see NJ Devils fans brag about the 3 Stanley Cups the Devs have won to the extent that Lakers (& their fans) do (just like the Leafs, actually). And it's not just about bragging. It's about looking at the rest of the teams like they're a piece of trash, and consider L.A. the basketball capital of the world (umm, remind you of Torontonians claiming Toronto is the hockey capital of the world)?

Oh, I must add that I hate the Lakers because they whine about the officiating too much DESPITE the fact that they own the referees.

I said they whine about officiating. Point to one post in which I've whined about officiating for any of the games, and I shall accept your point.

And last I checked, there was a fine line between being realistic and whining. I definitely don't have the yellow and purple goggles on.

While Toronto was still playing almost every other post of yours was about how they whine. Even the first post in this thread is about how the Lakers whine just like the Leafs.

I hate the Lakers because 90+% SportsCenter or someother sports highlight show will lead with them. If Shaq's got an ingrown toenail it is considered major news.

When was this a Leafs thread? The Leafs comment was a side comment and had nothing to do with whining. I said only ONCE that Lakers whine, didn't I? So how exactly am I whining about the Lakers whining?

This is a Lakers thread. And just because you and others consider me a whiner makes my point invalid? I may be the biggest whiner in the world, but if I said the Lakers whine too much and if that was the truth, it doesn't matter how much I whine about it - it's the truth. Repeating the truth is not whining. Repeating your point of view without having any bases to support it (such as complaining about officiating when it's obviously in your favour) is whining.
