I swear, the ice is so frigging bad I'm starting to think some old-fashioned maintenance crew chicanery went on before Game 1.

officiating is mighty suspect tonight. Dont know what just happened to give a power play, but the zubrus call was weak. And there have been some suspect plays of the icing variety this game. One where it should have been icing against the rangers and some how it wasn't, and one where a tired del zotto couldnt get to the puck and just took out zajac and no penalty was called.

Kinda frustrating when they seem pretty liberal with the calls that go against the rags.

That one bothered me even more than the two stupid penalties that were called on us, one where Greene barely tapped the guy's stick and it somehow broke (must have been cracked already) and the other one where the guy either had an Olympic dive or wiped out on this hideous ice.

This "Slashing the Stick" penalty is very annoying... one penalty that needs to be addressed in the off season, because these players are using the 2 ounce 'light and as thin as possible' sticks that have rigidity in one axis only... these stick break if you look at them wrong. Slashing is when you slash the player, not a piece of brittle graphite!

Rangers look fvcking terrible. What a joke of a game plan. They're all sliding around on the ice like they're fvcking mites on ice, hoping to get hit with a puck. I already can't stand them and the series has just begun...

Play's favored the Devils, but this bad ice favors the Rangers. It's certainly neutralized Marty's puck-handling, that or his rustiness.

We are def playing better then the rags. But we need to get it pass the oversized pillows and crash the net if we won't to score. Penalties are annoying. Idk how that volchenkov delay of game call was the rite call. It didn't help when a guy keeps pushing u down on the ice from the neck and the refs except him to pass it out. Zubie gets a weak call on him. But other than those stupid penalties we look good. Just need to get it pass the queen.

The rangers are a bunch of divers. That Zubrus call was horrible. His stick literally tapped the rangers player and the rags player falls like a ton of bricks.

Typical...can't cash in on our few chances, and they somehow get a seeing-eye puck in. Now with them in front over-under on Devil shots this period is six.
