Yeah I really don't know what Volchenkov thought he was doing on that one, he went to a guy who was already covered, leaving Kreider WIDE open. Also, you CANNOT have goals like the one Kreider scored last night.
The Devils should just forfeit the rest of the series...

Am I the only one that's legit worried?
For me, there's a seed of doubt because of Lundqvist. Otherwise, I believe we're going to shove it in their face.

Rafalski was also one of the best I've ever seen at keeping pucks in the zone, never saw a puck bounce over his stick, or through his legs. He kept everything in
Romanticizing the past just a little bit. He had his hiccups there, but so does virtually every defenseman.

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

No, but they've already proven me wrong twice in the postseason, after Game 3 against Florida I thought they were still choking dogs, and after Game 1 against the Flyers I thought they were the better team.
That said, Henry isn't Clemmensen/Theodore or Bryz, and the Rangers turn shot blocking into an art. Game 2's pretty much a must since I can't see us sweeping the home games. Plus the more they win, the less of a home ice we actually will have in this series.
The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

Missed this thread being on vacation. That said, what a beauty. Lets work some of this magic again. Devils played a similar opening game in bot series yet were even closer tonight with just one lucky bounce away.
Good, logical post, but let's keep logic out of the crazy thread:
The Devils lost game 1 on the road. Home losses are much worse. Furthermore, the Kings aren't going to go cold for a period and a half that often, like they did last night. You need to be lucky and opportunistic to win the cup, and last night we were neither. We'll avoid the sweep, but not much more.
You don't turn this around in a couple shifts. Its going to take a little time, but I know the guys will come back. Because I can see it. -- Jacques Lemaire
