Good one, Sterio.
I fear Henrik. Hopefully, we can score enough.

we just have to make him move like they did last game.
Moooooost of the time yeah were in their zone cycling and controlling the puck around the boards and trying to find a shooting lane... but the thing is... their 5 players are in position and so is henrik. We dont make them run around and switch position to create panic and caught them off position or making a mistake. So its easy to block a shot or make a save unless its deflected.
the devils tend to slow down the pace in the neutral zone slowing down with the puck waiting for other guys to come in but then all the Rangers have time to come back and set themselves in the dzone. Gotta use our speed to go around them and create some odd man rush like Zach did with Zajac.

^ this.
To be fair the meadowlands ice surface was not the best during the playoffs but game 2 was horrible at MSG.

By stepping around them and ripping one top shelf.did you know he actually said the rangers would win?
The plan is simple, keep grinding the rags into dust. Get a ton of shots on lundqvist from everywhere...bodies to the net. Extend Rag shifts by keeping clears alive at the blue line. If they want to lay down and block a shot, make them pay dearly.

Haha I was actually thinking the exact same thing yesterday. If we win this game, the entire media will go nuts trying to parallel this with the 94 game 6 guarantee.
LGD!!!
Yea, they will. But this is certainly not the '94 Rags. Even the most ardent Rags fan would be hard pressed to make that argument, no matter how many hallucinogenic enemas they've had.

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

So true. Revisionists make it like he was running around pounding his rather enlarged head screaming they'll win. He answered a stupid question (probably Neverson) if they'd win.....then the puke actually delivered.A dramatic reproduction...
Reporter: "Are you going to win tonight?"
Easter Island Head: "Yeah, sure."
Media: "ZOMGHE PROMISED US A WIN! OUR HERO!!"
And took credit for scoring the Cup winning goal against Vancouver that he never touched.
BTW: I am stealing Easter Island Head for now on......friggin' classic.....THANKS !!
Get 'em early boys and get 'em often.

I'll be there tonight! LGD!!

Reserving hope for tonight. I'm trying to not get too positive or negative. They just need to come out with speed and poise, and keep the Rangers at bay for the start of the game and set the tone. This is a huge huge huge game. We needSuper Marty.
I'll always appreciate Marty and everything he's done, and he's had a largely solid playoff run, but I pretty much expect the Devils to have to score three goals to win most nights when he's in net. I can't ask him to make a 1-0 or 2-1 lead stand up anymore. Having said that, I don't see him coughing up more than three in any game for the rest of this series.
In short: Devils score three, they'll probably win.
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!
Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime? - Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.
Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.
It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.
