@LAKings there is plenty to do. We have a great aquarium, #AtlanticCity, the Statue of Liberty stands in #NJ & playoff hockey consistently.

Unfortunately the Statue of Liberty does not stand in New Jersey. And "playoff hockey consistently" is a new phenomenon. This time last year our team was over a month into their summer vacation.

Will LA fans insult our air quality next? Seems like they'd be knowledgeable in that subject.

technically its in New York, but only because we gave them the jurisdictional rights to liberty island land. The Statue indeed stands "in" New Jersey, but really its in New York. Once you step foot onto the island, you're in NY.

It's IS in NJ, but because of that boneheaded pact they signed way back in the early 1800s it is considered a NY "enclave"

I think you are confusing "consistency" with "perfection". It's not embarrassing to be proud of only missing the playoffs twice in twenty years.

Yeah really, if the Devils don't consistently make the playoffs, then the only team that does is Detroit. When people call an elite player consistent that doesn't mean they literally score a goal every single game. Same with great organizations.

might be a good spot for a ECHL or AHL team, the staten island yankees and the cyclones do very well attendance wise all summer, can't see why minor league hockey couldn't catch on the same way there one day.

There are a lot of sensitive fans on here. Nothing like a week between rounds to turn some of you stir-crazy. The Devils motto might as well be "Status Quo" yet the Twitter feed sometimes goes against that philosophy. Like someone mentioned above, it would be interesting to see how twitter interactions like this are handled by the organization, even if they're seemingly harmless.

@LAKings insulting New Jersey is a perfect scenario of the pot calling the kettle black. It would be the same if we insulted them. And AEWHistory nails it with the Woody Allen quote.
