Jankowski is off the board but a very intriguing prospect. A bit of a risk but if it pays off it will be a great selection for the Flames. I actually thought the Devils may take a look at him if he was there at 29.

There's no suspense....you know the Devs are going to pick Matteau's kid. It's destiny. :whistling:

L.A. Lariviere ‏- Montreal reporter just tweeted:
https://twitter.com/...348022408364032

"Les ‪#Habs‬ et les Devils veulent Stefan Matteau. Des enchères se trament. MTL (33, 51) repêche au 2e tour tandis que NJ détient le 29e choix"

English:

"Habs & Devils want Matteau. MTL trying to move up as NJ holds 29th overall pick. MTL has 33rd & 51st picks (round 2)"

I can't see the rangers passing on a chance to mention '94 again.

Yes yes, we know. Pittsburgh is the most bestest ever. UGH it's June and I'm already sick of them again.

I know it's the draft and all, and hype is obviously the word of the day...but would it kill Pierre to temper that enthusiasm just a tad considering these guys still need to pan out? Judging by the way he's talking, all these D prospects for Pitt are going to make the team out of camp and shut down every team like it's nothing.

I liked this Matheson guy when he played Steve the Pirate in Dodgeball.

My god all of the Subbans look the same.

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

Wonder if Twitter is playing up with racist comments from Boston fans like it did when Joel Ward scored. :whistling:

Subbans are too much of a circus - don't know how to act like they've been there.
I'll take humility over "Swagger" anyday.
Have a hard time beliving Lou would have gone that way.

I freaking love that one Subban is on Montreal and the other on Boston.

I guess according to Pierre Pittsburgh just secured themselves as winning 10 cups in a row with these picks.

These first round in the NHL draft are becoming more and more of a marathon to watch every year. Also the fact that it is getting bounced around from channel to channel doesn't help.

Anyone interested in the other Zharkov? He's a pretty big guy who plays a power forward game. He seemed to be invisible on a few shifts though. My scouting experience of him is roughly 3 games during WJC so take it for what it's worth.
