MikeHeika: Stars get Derek Roy from Buffalo in trade for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy. There is your top-six center to take Ribeiro’s place.

At least its not in our division, and Ott isnt nearly as annoying as Avery.

I agree. Ott>Avery by a mile.

NEW JERSEY In keeping with the fact they are the Devils, New Jersey actually went with a villain by the name of Lex Lou-Lamoriello, an evil genius who finds ways to get around the salary cap until he is stopped in his tracks by Bett-man.

Sabres fans all love this trade. I'm surprised, seems like Roy had more value to me. Apparently they all think he's a locker room cancer that parties too hard. :noclue:

That and they wanted/needed a guy like Ott in the worst way after the Ryan Miller-Milan Lucic fiasco last year.

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

I guess so Ott can run the opposing goalie? 'Cause he's sure as hell not going to fight Lucic.

Like this move for the Stars - Ott is a solid grinding center, but they can get by with Fiddler, Roy adds some offense.

I think this move addresses needs for both teams. Roy has more talent, but Ott is a good 3rd line guy that can actually play.
