#mnwild has agreed to terms on Zach Parise to 13-year deal; Now it's official. Maybe they'll announce Winter Classic today for trifecta. ha

Zach could have said plenty of things. "Oates is a big loss." "It's a shame to lose Oates." "Oates is a good coach. He'll do great in Washington." These are all pretty neutral and fans wouldn't really be able to look into them.

Whatever, he was still under contract to the Devils when he said it and I'm sure that's the mindset he had. I'm not going to fault him for fans obsessing and over-analyzing every word he says. Whether he should have known fans were going to do that or not is irrelevant to me.

13 years? Wow that's a long time.

I'm really sad to see him go. I'm not sure what the Wild could have offered him that would compare to a team that just made the Stanley Cup Finals?

Except a truck load of money. If that's why he left then so be it.

What were Parise's stats in the Finals anyway?
