Just the problem is that he was an assett to our team. Lots of peopel are going to be mad about this, and the smoke you see outside may be grills, but others will be Parise jersey's on fire in the street. I just hope we can develop some offensive players now.

Is Parise really worth 1.2 less than Crosby and Malkin? I don't think so. Letting him go was not the worst thing that could have happened.

I definitely wanted to keep him, but I wanted him to give us a "hometeam" (oh how funny that is in retrospect) discount and stay.
