I was kind of thinking this when we first re-signed them, but...

...is it possible our playoff juggernaut of a fourth line is actually going to be our regular-season third line this year?

great move! money well spent!

I've had enough of lou's crap this offseason. 3 years for salvador, 2 to 40 year old marty and 39 year old moose. Lost parise. barch and sestito? What kind of garbage team is he trying to build? barch would be wasting a roster spot even in albany!

^7^ is just defending his sport sheeps.. as Alcibiades the exiled Athenian rationalizes in his speech to the enemy Spartans, he wants to take revenge on Athens because he loves it and can't stand to see the state it's in now - Triumph

We really don't need any more tough guys. We can't even get Knuble, or a big body in front who scored more than 10 goals in their career. Knuble would best fit Poni's loss, even though he is old (40 yrs)

Very strange

Hopefully he got the league minimum on a 2way. Then if Cam ever gets hurt we have a tough guy.

Bobby Holik wouldn't name a (Christmas) song. He said: "Music means nothing to me." When Tom Gulitti of the
Record suggested he'd be called Scrooge, Holik said: "It won't be the first time." -Bobby Holik Christmas 2008

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

Interesting theory, albeit a little scary.

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Lets hope and pray he is on a 2 way like Cam. I think with Bernier, Carter and Gionta in there we are very satisfied with our 4th line. Only thing i am thinking is if Bernier is moved up to 3rd line to fill Ponikarovsky's role, and Barch/Janssen take that 12th fwd spot. The 2nd yr is ridiculous

Isn't he like 28 years old?

Shouldn't we be getting younger prospects over in Albany? And ones with actual fvcking talent...

Sestito is fine for Albany. You can't just throw a bunch of prospects together and say 'play hockey'. You need to have veteran presence there, too. That's why Gionta was there for so many years.

As for Barch. :noclue: Seems we got rid of Boulton so we could sign Boulton.

Perhaps just a response to the Rangers getting tougher this offseason. Maybe if Janssen were to get hurt or something.

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03
