“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

Most people had him pegged at being picked somewhere between 16-20 in the Draft, so imo he was a pretty big steal at 29th.is Matteau really that high of a prospect?
EDIT: For me, I would say his NHL comparison is either a Dustin Brown or a Milan Lucic with less size.

So is Larsson but I don't think the point of the post was to guage the likelihood that someone gets traded, just who would fetch the highest return.I would think wedgewood is on the no trade list because of his solid development and the need of goaltending.
I'm surprised people have Kovy so high, there were only 2 teams interested in him at the terms he was looking for when he signed as a FA, has the demand really risen?
I'll just do the players since I don't know enough about the prospects to really judge:
Players:
Travis Zajac
Adam Larsson
Adam Henrique
Patrik Elias
Ilya Kovalchuk
Jacob Josefson
Marek Zidlicky
Henrik Tallinder
David Clarkson
Anton Volchenkov
Dainius Zubrus
Mattias Tedenby
Bryce Salvador
Andy Greene
+ Spare parts that might fetch a low pick

Kovalchuk third to last Tri? I know he has a huge contract, but you don't thInk he could land us a 1st, good prospect and roster player at the trade deadline?
A team with cash on hand and could benefit from a lower cap hit would love a Kovalchuk. Like say a Philly or New York. I doubt he is third to last.

He's signed for 13 more years and had back trouble in this year's playoffs.
