Agreed, he isn't even the main goalie for SSM, getting beat out by a kid that is 7 months younger than him. Anthony just has a 3.25 GAA .900 SV% through 12 games which is a lot worse than Kania, their main starter, who has a 2.06 GAA .925 SV% through 15 games. No point wasting a 7th rounder on him.

I want them to pick him anyways. What's the % of 7th rounders anyways?
Why buy a lotto ticket only to rip it up. Who cares what the % is, you may miss out on the next Joe Pavelski by doing so.

I'm sure if the Devils really want to get Anthony into the organization, they'll do it after he goes undrafted twice like they've done with family of plenty of other players.
Right, and who even says he'll pursue pro hockey if he continues to struggle at that level.
I don't think we'll miss the season so I don't think how many balls each team gets etc. is a concern. And though he's not eligible in 2013, I really liked what I saw out of Josh Ho Sang for Windsor; he's 2014 eligible.

Here's a question for y'all. Would you rather have a 50 game season where the Devils miss the playoffs, but land the 15th pick, or would you rather we miss the season, but get a top 3 pick?
Top 3 pick with a missed season, no question. I will have saved about $500 not going to games to see what would be a bad team.

I collect spores, molds and fungus.
Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

Top 3 pick, pays dividends for many many seasons.. At this point, if rather save the money from my tickets this year

Stop being sensible and have relevant arguments.
I guess Rangers are taking him as revenge for us taking Matteau.

seems a bit unfair that edmonton and all those bottom teams would have top picks again. Im sure the GMs owner is pulling for a full season lockout, then its not really their fault that they finished in the bottom again since there was not season and yet heres another top pick to join eberle, hall, RNH, yakupov... disgusting
The lotto they used the last time actually took away a ball for each time you got the #1 pick in the previous three years as well as each time you got to the playoffs in that same stretch. So really Edmonton would only have one ball.
The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

I actually put together a Mock Lottery a couple weeks ago, this is how many balls each team would have:
Teams with 3 Balls in Lottery (5.76% Chance):
Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets
Teams with 2 Balls in Lottery (3.48% Chance):
Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning
Teams with 1 Ball in Lottery (1.92% Chance):
Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Phoenix Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks, Vancouver Canucks, Washington Capitals
Total: 52 Balls
