Go through the pre-draft rankings and filter out non playing or injured players. Sometimes Yahoo misses some.

Yeah Yahoo! rankings are crap, and remember the position game limits. There's always two or three teams every year that just keep filling out their lineup every day without realizing they run out of games played by March. 48 games per position so essentially you just have to play your starters and use your bench when injuries hit, or they have a better matchup than the starter. Anything besides the 'basics', you'll have to figure out yourself

Yeah, since you can play two of each. And 192 combined on defense since you can play four.

Can somebody clarify the maximum number of games played element for me please? Can you use players on your bench mid game? I don't understand how you could go over the amount of games (48) for a position e.g C

It's a daily lineup. You obviously can't switch someone out midgame but with more than two C's on your roster you could easily go over game limits if you play everyone all the time. Say, you play your two starters and they each play every game, then you start putting in your bench guys as well when they have games and your starters don't and boom you go way over and hit your limit too soon.

Thank you for clearing that up understand fully now. I forgot that you could be playing all your 'C's all the time and go up yo your limit very early.

Only one spot left...hockey fans, if nothing else are resilient. Once we get one more, and ayl signs up I'll announce the draft order (Yahoo does a snaking draft, so if you get the last pick of the first round, you get the first pick of the second round for example - so you'd be picking at #20 and #21).

Sorry for being a slacker... Yahoo was giving me issues on my phone; and I was enjoying some good hiking and tourism.

Do I get to pick my spot? #1 isn't my ideal spot in a snake draft.

At 19 now thanks to putting this in the main forum. If we get one more to completely fill it, registration's closed at that point. If we don't get one more, we can play with 19 in a roto league.

I'm more worried about the 2nd/3rd rounds.... than having to decide between Stamoks, Malkin, Crosby, etc.
Plus, you seemingly struck out last year with that. Ovie (down year), EStaal (down until you traded him to me), and Jeff Carter looking like Ryan Carter.

Ovi was my only real pick, the other two were 'gifted' to me. I probably would have picked Tim Thomas if I had been drafting, which wouldn't have helped in the second half but at least it would have given me better goaltending than what I had.
