One PLAYOFF one I remember offhand was when that clown Sean O'Donnell did it for LA and torpedoed the Kings during Larry Robinson's only trip to the playoffs as a coach there. One of the reasons why I hated getting this guy a couple years later and of course he didn't do much to help the Devils either
Found a piece on it (actually the Kings gave up FOUR goals on that one): http://www.stltoday....fd0b5a4f72.html
As far as Bernier, I think the long lockout pretty much quelled the extreme emotions on both sides - fans that hold Game 6 against him, and fans that want to stand by him. He'll probably get no more or less applause than any other player.

Yup, Glad we kept him he played hard and strong for usHe was big in the Florida series and was a key depth guy throughout the season. One bad play after a non call will not ruin everything he did for us. He was really hard on himself after game 6 so I will cheer for him, he deserves it, and I cheer for all the guys on opening night anyways.

To show up just after the game to the fans.... ready to take the fire... This guy deserve a good treatment.
But more important, i think it's really time to turn the page and go forward.
He also made himself immediately available to the media for post-game... That says a lot. Not every player (even Parise, Kovalchuk) would do that.

Yup its always funAfter the game I was so heated I wanted him gone. Now I'm glad he's back. I'd cheer for him, but I've never been to a home opener. Do they introduce every player one by one?
“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

Yup its always fun
That part of it is fun. Unfortunately the next part of the opening day ceremony is usually to lose to the Flyers.

Had the entire team played better in the first games of the series, we'd never have been in that position.

Oh come on. Don't play that card. You think the refs actually called one and not the other based on team background? Give me a break, it's the Cup finals, the refs were probably just as nervous as the players. So they missed a call. Like we didn't have ONE call go our way the whole post seasoni cheered him when he arrived on the bus that rainy day, i will cheer him again. that penalty was handed from the networks down, there is no way a big market team gets handicapped like that for a play in SCF.
