Brodeur is the obvious choice for this. The islanders defense is pretty much randoms, and who knows, maybe Nabokov hasnt seen a shot in some time

You made me just cry. I didn't even consider the fact that the Devils first goal of the season could potentially not even happen tonight...let alone till Henrique come back :'(

Well really it's unlikely unless Henrique has accelerated healing powers and comes back later this week. He's still more likely to score the first goal than Hedberg though lol

Updated it with Tedenby. Was going by the roster on the official site, made a mental notes to sub in Teddy for Butler, and then promptly forgot after skipping Butler. Oh well.

I even thought about doing that myself.I'm going with Zubrus - those first goals usually come from less-than-obvious sources (i.e. not Kovy, Zajac or Elias), but at the same time, it would surprise no one to see Zubie put it in.
