Don't want our own GDTs to get cluttered with talk of other games. So hear we go...

Are the Pens really good, or are the Flyers headed for a huge disappointing year?

Good idea with this thread

Slow start for the Flyers. That PP helped turn things around a bit

No Kopitar. We'd be having the Cup celebration if not for him.

Oh goody. A sit down interview with Crosby. Listen carefully for Pierre's pants dropping in the background.

true, but the fact still remains that Quick gave up 3 goals in the first period alone.. very uncharacteristic

I'm digging the Phailures getting dominated. That was an enjoyable period.

The pride of USA hockey, Pat Kane, scoring the first goal of the season. Pretty cool. So now, he's scored the first goal of the 2013 season and the final goal of the 2009-10 season.

I don't think the flyers game indicates that the pens are amazing, I think it's more about how bad their defense is. Pens are still a good team no doubt but to me it just looks like he flyers defense is really really thin on NHL caliber players. Timmonen and grossman, anyone else?

Soft and overrated.

Meszaros and Coburn aren't terrible, but they're not special.
