Rags lose in a shootout.

Miller missed an absolute WIDE open net for the shootout win.

Islanders complete a big comeback and beat Montreal in OT.

Miller got Bishop down, had 1 second to figure out how to get it in the net, and completely misses hahaha... And Gaborik's was the worst of all 14 attempts..

I thought it was just down right hilarious how both teams kept missing the net.

Remember when Parise was tearing it up to start the season, to the tune of 5 goals and 4 assists through 5 GP?

Last 11 GP:  2 goals and 1 assist.  Teeny sample clearly...just worth mentioning.

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

There was a play late in the rags game where the puck bounced into the bench and the backup goalie batted it back into play with his glove and nobody saw it and play continued LOL

Rick DiPietro has apparently been put on waivers.  One of the most disastrous contracts ever, though more in length than in dollars.

The last 2 Islanders games I watched were with him in the net. He was horrible. He was very aggressive on trying to play the puck, but he mishandled it so many times

That didn't look bad until I saw the slow-motion whiplash, yikes.  He skated himself off though, but his neck will definitely be pretty sore tomorrow

To think, he was the US goalie in the 06 Olympics and got them to the playoffs in 07 (though the Devils helped). Now he's got glass bones and paper skin

He'll be the captain of Bridgeport in no time.

Wade Dubielewicz had a lot to do with that last minute playoff push.

Last night when someone mentioned that we were tied for first, I replied saying we were until the Pens won tonight. Lo and behold they won. It's teams like the Pens and to a much larger extent the Blackhawks where you can pretty much guarantee they'll beat a team at the level of the Panthers. Too bad I can't say that about the Devils.

it's all about matchups, not who's can beat all the teams. if we match pens or rags, we can easily beat them in best of 7, then it's off to the races.

The playoffs are so much about a team coming together at the right time also. Devils/Kings were the epitome of that. Blackhawks might have peaked to early. We will see come playoff time. Very impressed with them though. Still think goaltending will be an issue come playoffs.

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

Is it just me or has the hockey gotten a lot worse over the last half dozen of games? Maybe I was just starved for hockey but I thought it was pretty good in the first week or two. Now...seen so many bad games that I've just turned off.
