Do feel a 'little' bad for Jason but if he can't pass a physical, he's not going to play anywhere. It also explains why there was no market for him before.

I'm fairly certain that professional athlete physicals involve everything from medical records and current testing (x-rays, mri's, etc.) to specefic physical tests.Wait, not passing a physical, is that different than a civilian physical, like is it a conditioning issue? A health issue? A drug thing?

“I think winning against them in the big stage, not just for me, but for the fans of New Jersey, people that are supporting us and always take a second seat to these guys for whatever reason, now they’ve got to be pretty happy going to work and going to school and doing all their things that they do." - Martin Brodeur

I feel bad for Arnott... last thing you want as a professional athlete is to be told you aren't fit to play; and therefore can't.
I also don't see Arnott as a Devils product. He won the cup with us, yes... but he also was with the Oilers, Dallas and Nashville for a fair amount of time.
His early years with Oilers were pretty strong and one of the few picks Sather got right. It could have been seen as throwing a bone to someone from the past.

I know he's not the most reliable according to some people...but...
#BREAKINGNEWS: #STLBlues &Arnott have reached 1yr deal in principle, pending physical. The veteran forward joined the team on the ice today.
Hope he gets his chance to play again!

Also, someone may want to change the title of the thread...I didn't wanna make a new thread when we had this one already.

This is the funniest thing I have read in a looooooong time! Thank you. When I was younger our family had a horse, Ed, he was fun to ride. He was already old when I was young so when I hit my early teens the family decided to stop riding him and let him enjoy the pasture to eat and run as he pleased. I wasn't mad that I couldn't ride him anymore I was happy he got the bounty of the pasture and sun before he passed away at 30 something years old.
That is kind of how I feel about old Devils players who go to the Rangers, they got a healthy paycheck before being put out to the pasture of life.
