There are forums I don't read and others where I don't read every thread. Before I leave the site I mark these forums 'as read'. The main page stayed the same and showed marked as read at the top of the page. Something has changed. I could do this from the main forum page quickly. Now the page goes almost blank followed by a total refresh. I now have to wait until the task is complete.
Anyone else having this issue?

I briefly see the white space, I think it now uses Ajax to mark the forum read. Try changing to another skin and see if the same thing happens. Might have to force clear the cache (I know you usually clear it at the end of session though).

It doesn't do it with the Light Red skin. It does with Luminous Red. I will use Light Red. One good thing with this skin, no pink.

I've been having an issue with threads being marked as read or not. Basically, none of the threads I read through prior to today, are marked as such. Every thread I open, that I haven't already opened today, opens to post # 1. I don't understand. I click mark forum as read, but then as soon as I hit refresh, it goes back to being marked unread.

Wow! I assumed I was doing something wrong. This has been happening to me also. I read a thread and when I go back to the list of threads some are marked as read and I haven't opened them yet. Same with having no unread posts in a thread and having the thread still show as unread.

LOLOL it just happened with this thread and 2 in Hell - game day for Bruins game and Steve Sullivan. I am so happy it isn't memory loss for me.

The feature is disabled as per my post about the query killing the Database. It should always default to the first post.

I remember a post about trade deadline stuff and that certain features will be shut off. I cannot find it anymore. just like I cannot find the above post.
