Again, we don't know if we even had a chance to. He very easily could've just walked.We wouldn't have had to give anything away had we just re-signed him to start with. This all just puzzles me.

They still don't have to give it up yet. Either this year or next year so they still own it for now.
Well I was expecting worse news on Zubrus. Assuming he is out for 2 months he should still be good to go by playoff time.

I never understood why he signed so quickly in Winnipeg for so little anyway.
Personally, I think he felt get paid before other role players signed and set the market.
He couldn't wait for us with Homesick Baby so did what was best for him.

I am glad Poni is back, some of his talents were in need. Sucks to lose Zubrus though, hope for best case scenario.
