It feels like Western Conference whining in general.
Re: matchups - Clearly this is taking the long view. The idea being that these rivalries will fester over the next 10-15 years. If they're doing a home and away for every team, which all indications are that they are (and this I loathe, I hate the NBA schedule), I imagine the rest of the schedule is in the division. So that's 38 games in the division split among 7 teams - the hatreds are supposed to build from there.
Oh no, not that again, that reminds me of 07-08 and the 900 games against divisional rivals. Then again, I'm watching the Flames play the Wild for what feels like the 900th time this season.
I really don't need 7 games against the Blue Jackets. This could be the death of them, they have one natural rival in the division and that will be onesided to say the least. And it's not really a sports rivalry because Pitt is a Big East/ACC school. That and no other fanbase than that one is going to bother heading out there.
