Look for the Carolina Hurricanes to trade for a veteran defenseman over the next few days.
well jesus christ if that's not our chance to get a player who's already playing a similar system than us or a pick or prospect.
thoughts?

I don't know prospects... but looking on HF... they don't seem rich by any means.
Would Chris Terry be available/desired?
I don't see them giving up LaRose etc to us for our d-men.

Maybe try to get Chad LaRose if they were super desperate (I'd doubt it) especially if Tallinder's the one we'd try to dump. I'd take a 2nd or 3rd rounder and call it a day

I would be ecstatic for Chris Terry. I think it might be more then Tali, but not sure if they would want him. I think they want a rental and tali has 2 years still on his deal. Harrold is interesting, cheap great upside, but not sure what your getting so a return is hard.
But I like harrold way more than most D on our team, because of his offence talent. Would love to see him play tonight, and give a boost

I don't see it. I think they really want the 8 guys on D they have now. I think someone like Buffalo is more likely to make a deal.

Want a winger that we won't have to give up much for, can replace Parise in the shootout, and be a 3rd line scoring threat/PP specialist?
Alexei Kovalev

I'd like to add a *VOMIT* to all those nos, lol. Kovalev would be fine if we could get him for 2 cents and only use him in the shootout and for 2-3 mins a game on the PP. Other than that, he's awful.

But Harrold hasn't even played in a single game, and he's pretty good. I know that there might be injuries, but do we really not have decent enough guys that we could call up from Albany (Urbom/Gelinas) to fill in if there happened to be multiple injuries? I've seen you say this a couple of times now and I still don't understand why we would think having 8 NHL defensemen is a good idea.

Victor Rask? Very boom or bust though.

My sincere thoughts? if you think the Devils have any part in this, you've got some sheets to send to the cleaners.

Me either. I don't understand the purpose of having Tallinder and Harrold. You only need one experienced #7 and then a couple young guys to call up in case of multiple injuries. Urbom looked passable in his last NHL game and it's been a solid year since then, what's the problem giving him 5-10 games this year? Or Gelinas, who we've yet to really see up here. I wouldn't mind giving either of them a game over Tallinder or Harrold at this point. I'd just rather make a trade first.

Lou isn't trading for a non roster player at this point. That's what the Loki trade was. That way him and JJ can compete for an NHL spot. If we trade a D, it will be for a NHL player.

I think the lack of a training camp means they don't trust these guys to be able to take important minutes. And over the course of a regular NHL season, you use 8 guys. Counting Fraser/Foster/Zidlicky as one defenseman (since the former two were traded for the latter), the Devils used 10 guys last year, and were down to 9th on the depth chart for one game.

thing is and you learn that every years there's trades that go down and you go like "What? why would they do that it doesnt make sense at all he must be retarded !?!"
well we could very well be on the receiving end of one of those trades, who knows? haha In Lou we trust

I guess you forgot his performance at wing this season. I like Harrold a lot. Wasted skill in the press box. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Amen, and Lou knows that he needs to keep him, but we need to get him on the ICE

I still see both Tally and Harrold as expendable. Harrold is a solid #7, but he's a bit small and I still don't understand why our 7th can't be Urbom/Gelinas. If you want to keep Harrold since he's got more experience and probably less likely to screw the pooch if thrown into a playoff game out of nowhere, that makes sense, but somebody's gotta go and right now Tallinder is a better bet to bring back value in return, so he's gonna be playing. Harrold will be the post Tally trade/deadline #7.
