A sh!tty rumor by Єklund (2.3% accurate) tells that we try to get him...

But im just curious what's your though on that man.

Big contract, but he still a hell of a defenseman (and lou try to sign him UFA)

If it is for Salvador or Tallinder I am all for it.

However I do not think Florida is that stupid.

Yeah as long as a defenseman is going the other way I'd be sorta interested.

Not a bad player, but has a horrible contract that lasts through 2015-16.  I'll pass.

absolutely not. the devils should not be adding defensemen or even swapping. this offseason needs to see two gone. zidlicky is a free agent but he might actually be resigned because there's noone that fills the roll he does unless they think gelinas could do it.

the devils currently have fayne and tallinder being scratched - both would be in the top 4 of just about every other team in the league. on top of that, they've got urbom and gelinas knocking at the door and merril perhaps a year away. they've got harrold as a UFA and while i'd like to retain him, i think he gets lost in the numbers game.

What I want to know is wtf is going on with Fayne? With Larsson and Zidlicky likely to return next year, do they not see a place for him? Aren't Gelinas and Urbom both LH? Do you think it's possible they see Volch as unmovable and that we'll be forced to move Fayne as a way to fit in a younger guy next year? That whole thing is beyond confusing to me because I don't believe that Volch is better than either Tally or Fayne and I'm not sure Sal is either.

being a team that doesn't have enough D, this makes a lot of sense for the Devils

Some would say we have too many dmen so that obviously we don't need another one... thing is, our dcorp is really upgradable... we have a bunch of dmen "getting the job done" and most are really inconsistent. We don't have a real threat from the blue line yet. Some may be coming our way but still.

We've given up less than 25 shots in 14 straight games and barely give up chances compared to most teams.  Offensively, there could be improvements but overall, our defense it very good

I agree with stereo that our defense is upgradable but I also think our group of dman is underrated. Like smantzas said they are doing a really good job of keeping the shot totals down. Getting better offensively should be priority #1 with this team.

what i really meant was that and we hear if often from coaches and people around the league, in todays NHL you need your dmen to jump in and provide offense, it's a must. So teams are looking a lot more for either offensive guys or good 2way dmen who can do both. Not that it's easy to find or anything but why get a stay home dman who will get you maybe 3 points in 82 games if another guy could do the same job defensively plus bringing offensive production.

but like i said its not as if it's easy to find.
