They didn't come ready to play at all. No excuses today. It's an "elimination" game against your rivals. You can blame the officials all you want but the fact is this team isn't worthy of a playoff spot.

This reffing is a complete joke. Kovy gets blatantly tripped, there's no call, and instead the Devils get a bench minor. Wow. Just wow.

Good teams don't lose because of bad reffing.  And bad teams still won't win, regardless of the reffing.

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

They have more of a chance to catch the Caps than the Rangers really, though not getting that extra point yesterday hurt that too.

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

Yeah, but man, those calls.    As a Devils fan I don't care that much, it's not stopping them from doing anything.   But that sequence where Kovy is gone, gets tripped, and then they get bench minor'd into a 5 on 3?   Whoa.

I never said that the Devils were losing because of the reffing, and the game's not over yet.

fvck this a$$hole Rooney. No one came to watch you ref this game today fvckwad.

Same guy from Game 6 of the Finals too.  The non-trip on Kovy was the most suspicious non-call I've seen all year.

Season's gonna end today, let people vent.  Yeah the Devils are a cripple that look like little boys against men on the ice today.  But that's still no excuse for that non-call then an unneccesary reactionary call after you **** up the non-call.

The one where Dags was knocked goofy and got called for a stick-hold was a classic as well.   Rooney's score should be buried.   Mick McGeough should get to ref a playoff series first.

I don't even think I got this depressed over the Devils at the end of the season in 2011.

Boy do I miss last years team / run......hopefully we get lucky in the draft.

At least at this rate, the last game of the year you might get a 5-on-5 brawl to start the game since it'll be a glorified exhibition for both teams.

Well it's a big difference when you end the season after practically not losing a game for two months, as opposed to ending it after not winning at all for two months.

And at that point I shut the TV off, probably for good this season.

And that point came now.  Another Volch turnover, another goal against.  Bite me Pete and Lou for this eight-D monstrosity.

I guarantee Anton Volchenkov will negatively impact this game for the Devils in some way. Be it him being out of position, taking a dumb penalty at a terrible time, probably both. I have absolutely no clue what DeBoer is thinking and I'm getting sick of him fvcking with Mark Fayne.

done and done
