Listening to TSN radio now, they are saying LeCavalier to Philly is a done deal.. 5 years, 23 million.   Seems like a really good deal to me, especially if people are serious about paying the same kinda money to Clarkson.. :P

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self-defense, because you think its a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

Yes, Vinny is better.   The term of this deal could be a problem.... Of course I still respect him and wish he went out west instead of being in our yet unn-amed division

Are they over the cap if you account for Pronger not being on the cap (I know that's not exactly how it works but hopefully you know what I mean)

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

How the heck do they expect to keep their RFA's after this upcoming season? Giroux will easily get a raise!

Yes, but only by a little.  They lose a lot of salary next year but they have to pay Giroux, Schenn, and Couturier.

Holmgren is clueless. Good player but it makes no sense to get rid of briere gagne bryz and now another player for Streit and Vinnie. Depth apparently doesn't mean anything to the flyers

Cap Geek still has Pronger as a cap hit so yeah they're technically under it right now.

But that's bullsh!t.   It's cap circumvention.  There should be a realistic expectation of what the point of no return is for him.

Pronger counts during the offseason but your opening roster has to come in under the cap, I believe, then you can put him on LTIR.

That may not be a fight the league wants.  It's hard to prove he can never play again, since concussions can act strangely.  So you get one doctor arguing Pronger can never play again and another doctor that says Pronger may be able to play again and then you probably couldn't force a retirement.  Team, NHLPA, and Player all say they want the contract to continue in hopes he can play again, tough for an arbiter to overturn on a he said/she said type argument by the league.
