1 year deal. Per TG.

I spelled his name wrong 3 damn times lol.

Terms: One-year, one-way contract for Olesz for $1 million total -- $700,000 base salary plus $300,000 in games played bonuses.

A former DeBo guy and another first round "bust". Hoping he can be Bernier 2.0 maybe?  Can't imagine he got too much money.

I like Olesz as a depth move.

Your unconditional rejection of violence makes you smugly think of yourselves as noble, as enlightened, but in reality it is nothing less than abject moral capitulation to evil. Unconditional rejection of self-defense, because you think its a supposed surrender to violence, leaves you no resort but begging for mercy or offering appeasement.

Why not?

Big guy, probably low cap hit.  If he manages to push Gionta out of the lineup I'll be happy.

I remember when he was drawing Jagr comparisons...  Maybe the NJD can resurect him.

Interesting note RE Olesz: @goldieonice says he didn't get along with DeBoer in Florida.

Uh oh lol

I really like Olesz - even if he didn't get along with DeBoer, he had his best success under him.  He's certainly a better bet than Mattias Tedenby.

Now this is a move I fully approve of. Bottom six winger with low risk. Why the heck not?

Goldionice also notes that Bernier and DeBoer didn't mesh in Florida but seem to get along fine now.
