Lmao, Lou never stops trying to bring back former Devils. It's like an addiction of his.

As long as he stays in the AHL, I don't mind. They need some bodies down there at forward at the moment.

Havnt followed him much at all but I do remember the year we missed the playoffs and got Larsson, I did like his play. He brought a lot of energy to a team that at the time was pretty frustrated. He wasn't scoring or anything, just playing an up tempo 4th line game and didnt look out of place.
With that said I hope he doesn't play on the NJ Devils. But I wish him the best in the minors

Well, this reminds me of one of LOu's all-time best quotes:

Loosely I recount...

"We let John Madden go so we can Rod Pelley up here. He's ready to take on that roll."

That was idiotic thinking 5 years ago...

Just when I praised Lou for his signings last week he does this.

He really just can't help himself.

Well they all can't be as good as David Clarkson.

I rarely criticize Lou, but this is one of those signings that just has me saying, "For the love of God WHY?"

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

He was before last year.  Now I'm not so sure.

This is pretty funny. Don't worry, I don't think we'll be seeing him much in the NHL, if at all.

Obviously an AHL move. Rod is a great guy and a hard worker that can help that room. There are a lot of young guys down there that need to stay on track.

Rod finished with 10 point in 60+ games, while Viktor Fasth had 1 point in 3 games. Ouch.

The Northeast is now safer thanks to Rod Pelley being back in the area helping push stranded cars off of highways in blizzards since 2010.

Good leader for Albany. Hopefully that's where he stays!

Too bad Rod is the "player from the past" this year...

I was hoping for Gomez.

Mostly to see the forum freak out ; )

(and i can't help myself.. but i still have some ... sympathy for him)

Any confirmation of this being a 2-way?  It's not on capgeek

There's no way it's a one-way.  Dude scored 3 goals in the AHL.  It's more likely to be an AHL contract than a one-way.

That's what I mean, I should have been clearer.    I think it's an AHL one-way.    That's why it's not on Capgeek

This isnt a bad move, it just isn't a very good one.Its not like were paying him a lot.So Lou wants to pull a nice loyalty move. So be it, come midseason we will have forgotten this
