So i was always wondering why MTL never made an offer to Ryder or try to keep him. Guess i just found why in a french article about that whole thing.

http://www.hockey30....ore-a-therrien/

so basically it's saying that an incident happened between the 2 during the season and that the 2 we're pretty much not talking to each other anymore by the end of the season/playoffs.

So during the exit meeting Therrien freaked out and they got in a harsh verbal exchange when Ryder complained to Bergevin about the way he was treated.

I know something similar happened with Cole before he got traded to Dallas for Ryder, Therrien and Cole we're pretty much not talking anymore.

And they are saying that Therrien usually works that way that when a player is not giving him enough he has the tendency to go after him instead of being constructive and find solutions.

so thats that, let's hope it all works out well for Ryder here cause we really fvcking need him to produce at a high rate

Therrien is a fvcking a$$hole. He's not even a mediocre coach either, so I don't know where he gets his balls from.

The article says also that DeBoer is even more demanding so Ryder must beware...

I'm pretty excited to see Ryder play, I don't think he'll have a problem with DeBoer. Most players seem to enjoy playing under him.

I'm not worried. He chose to sign with New Jersey. He was traded to Montreal so he probably didn't have much of a choice, if any.

PDB is demanding, but you never get a sense that he's unnecessarily harsh on his players. I mean, pure speculation, no one outside the team knows what goes on in the locker room obviously.

I'm not sure Boston had a spot/money for him.

Really doesn't matter he is here and he will have to get along with the coach or get the boot. He will comply it about money and he knows it.

When he signed he said he already played in Boston and wanted to play somewhere different.  I am not sure what that means but I am happy he chose the Devils.
