"Sounds like Ben Scrivens has been traded from LA to EDM, 3rd round pick headed back to LA."

Reunites him with Eakins who was his coach with the Marlies.

Did not realize our old buddy PL3 was still hanging around the league. Good to see that with all of pittsburgh's injuries they find time for his uselessness on the ice.

The Ducks had a 7 minute 5 on 3 powerplay.  I don't think we will ever see that again.

I remember the Devils having a long one against the Canadiens at the Rock (I went to the game...I was in the restaurant behind the goal).  Going off the top of my head, I think it was about 4 years ago.  I think the Devils won the game 4-1.

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

I'm glad they finally have to play in a real division. I never thought they were presidents trophy good, now they can't beat up in the edmontons and calgarys as much.

Their team isn't as good as it used to be. The Presidents Trophy-winning Canucks would've done quite well despite this new division.

no doubt they were a good team, but were they the best team in the league then? They won their division 6 out of 7 years for a reason- it stunk. And in each of those years they only made it out of the second round once (granted they went to game 7 of a cup final that one time)

That's not the discussion. I'm saying the Presidents Trophy-winning Canucks would've been just fine in this division, while you imply that a team of that calibre wouldn't. Vancouver certainly was more legit than Washington. It's not like this edition of the Canucks stink.

Besides, the playoffs are a crapshoot.

right I'm not disagreeing with you that the 2010 Canucks would be competitive in the new division, I'm not sure how that came up, since all I said was they played in a weak division for all those years, and they probably wouldn't be presidents trophy winners if they didn't. From 2009- 2013 that division only produced 3 wild card teams total.

They were a good team, but it's obvious they beat up on those lesser teams and took advantage of a weak division.

It's been a shooting gallery at MSG tonight.  And zero goals have been scored.
