If it wasn't for the end of last year, I'd write that game off as a loss to a good team that played great defense and got saves when they needed them.
But as others have pointed it out, it seems like the Devils are playing a different sport, one that requires getting the puck behind the net as often and quickly as possible. Shooting through 8 guys and hoping to hit a stick is not going to consistently get you goals.
Still... It is game one. Let's not panic yet.

If the league was smart Tanner Glass would get a phone call. The hit on Salvador was a bit late, but since Sal turned halfway through it is hard to blame Glass too much on the play. But the hit on Larsson -- Glass saw nothing but letters the whole way and didn't stop. If Larsson is injured that's probably a suspension.
