Couldve possibly been a penalty but that is the nastiest goal of the year for us by far. Brunner is BACK

Paul MacLean needs to shave that caterpillar on his upper lip. He looks like Wilford Brimley

Good non-call, finally we get one in our favor that doesn't cost us a goal

It was close but so was the zajac penalty and they got their goal on that.

Overall shaky period by the devs we really never for our cycle and offense set up but come away with 2 goals so I'll take it.

You bet your bippy the refs will be looking to make this a close game in the 3rd so the devs better watch themselves.

I thought MacLean's whining wasn't warranted, but the angle from the opposite side makes me see it was pretty borderline. Wasn't quite a chop on the hands, but he appeared to flick the Senators stick out of the way, though I'm not sure that was intentional.

Anyways, prettiest goal of the year right there. Someone needs to ask Brunner what the hell happened to snap him out of it. It's been a night and day difference with him.

Fantastic evening at the Rock- the Devs get a dominating win, and I get a free $13 beer because the stripe on the back of my debit card wouldn't work and the woman got tired of trying. Outstanding.

I wanna see marty hit 700..

We all would...there's a few mean spirits around here, but no one's really rooting against him...that being said, so hard to tell what you're going to get from him night to night.

It'll be funny when Ranger fans insist that 400 of Marty's wins came via shootout 10 years from now.

Great to see a couple of wins in a row, but this is what .500ish teams do.  They don't fall to Islander-record bad, but they don't go on extended successful runs either.

Would love to see them get on one though...every time they put a couple of wins together, I'm hopeful.

Big win for your Dolphins and now this.  I think you may have peaked.

THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Haha don't say that CR- I'm hoping for the Fins to at least make the playoffs before peaking. :P

They keep going on an on about how Lundqvist is the first goalie to start his career with 7 straight 30 win seasons.  Yet they seem to have forgotten that Lundqvist also has the most shootout wins in NHL history.

Sorry, Lundqvist is 2nd with 46.  Ryan Miller has 47 shootout wins.
