That game was thoroughly enjoyable. I like it when the team I'm rooting for scores a lot of goals. Nice change of pace. :P

I do miss Kovy, watching him today brought back a lot good and bad memories. At least he was never boring.

Considering this Canadian team is arguably the best hockey team ever assembled, and we know Norway has one player on an NHL roster, I think this is an extremely impressive showing. I'll be watching them for the rest of the tournament. They're not as soft as most European teams. And it's not as if you can expect anyone to stop 38 of 38, and the Norwegian goalie did play well, the goals were generally stoppable. Who knows what happens if Norway has an NHL-caliber goaltender.

That was a great showing by Norway, they should be proud of the way they played. They hung with one of the best groups of NHL talent ever assembled with only one NHL'er on their roster- that's impressive. Plus the game got a little chippy at the end. I love chippiness in my Olympic hockey.

Both Slovenia and Norway gave Russia and Canada a lot of problems today.  Good on them for putting forth an effort.  I'd also argue that Austria played hard against Finland as well.

Man if I were a GM who had a Russian player over there for these Olypmics, I'd be seriously worried about them not coming back.

You gotta wonder what kind of bullsh!t Kovy and the rest are feeding them.

I doubt you see anything like that happen during the season. But over the summer? Who knows. Would it shock anyone if groundwork was being laid right now to get an Ovechkin or a Malkin back over there?

Men's skiing Slopestyle crushed it with a USA sweep. Silver medalist Gus Kenworthy grew up in a town next to mine in Colorado. USA!

If it weren't for the freestyle snowboarding and skiing events the US would have... 3 bronze medals. This hasn't felt like a very strong team showing so far. Or maybe the rest of the world just getting a lot better at things.

I've been recording all the games and finally caught up. Always enjoy Olympic hockey but it's been hard to stay offline to avoid spoilers.

The Czechs just scored and no Devils were involved. Erat can apparently score against Latvian-level talent.
