I'd kill for Statsny. He seems like a leader and all around great. Moulson seems more one sided. I don't watch Moulson much so if I'm wrong sorry, we need the speed they both bring. And thanks Solar, didn't know how much cap we had, that's a nice number there!

Moulson is a very underrated player I think mainly because he played for three teams that weren't exactly stellar when he was there.

But he did play alongside JT though if I am correct.

He's played on two teams with hot, young "star" players so he kind of gets lost in the shuffle.

Stastny would be awesome. Building this team from the net out, and up the middle.

Schneider

Larsson, Merrill, Gelinas, Severson, Sanaiti

Zajac, Stastny, Henrique

Having Zajac and Stastny would make us strong at center for a long time

Stastny is one of those guys who fits on any team.  I would love to have him.

Summer 2014:  ~25m in space.

Summer 2015:  ~17.5m additionally coming off.

The Devils have literally a boatload of money coming off the books in the next few years..adding salary shouldn't be a problem.  The only significant internal re-signing the Devils will need to do in the next two years is Schneider (   ) so they'll have ample spending ability.

The only problem is luring UFAs here.  I mean, do you really want to throw 5-6m+/year at Moulson?  Because I have a feeling that's what it's going to take to get him here...vast over-payment.

It is figuratively a boatload of money.

Hello fellow American. This you should vote me. I leave power. Good. Thank you, thank you. If you vote me, I'm hot. What? Taxes, they'll be lower... son. The Democratic vote is the right thing to do Philadelphia, so do.
How do you spot risk? How do you avoid risk? And what makes it so risky?

Hah I knew I'd get someone with that - misusing "literally" used to drive my old roommate insane.

Interesting. Randy Miller brought that up in his interview on Talking Red. Basically he asked how the Devils can make it attractive for players to play for NJ, especially those offensively talented players that know their point production will probably go down due to the system the Devils play.

I would totally be down for throwing 5-6mill at Moulson. He's exactly the kind of player we're missing IMO.

I'm almost embarassed by my excitement over the prospects of that future d-core. Throw in Greene as the grizzled vet and keep Fayne and you've got a cheap and cost controlled d-core for 5-8 years.

I think Fayne is as good as gone. No way he sticks around with the log jam, unless 2 guys go

We keep saying every year they have to let someone walk (Salvador two years ago, Zidlicky last year) but Lou just can't bear to part with his d-logjam.

"The Devils have high standards, that's the difference. We have a standard to live up to every year, and a couple of teams in our area don't have the standards we do." - Pat Burns

The New Jersey Devils win Stanley Cups everywhere:
-NHL record for most road wins in the playoffs - 10-1 in '95 and 10-2 in '00
-NHL record for most home wins in the playoffs - 12-1 in '03

Depends on his value around the league. I certainly think NJ would value him higher than most other teams. I hope they can keep Fayne to keep that top pairing stable.

I don't wanna think about where this team would be without Zidlicky. Take the good with the bad I suppose when it comes to this logjam.

Zidlicky has another  year  in him, he's good for the offense, keep him another year.
