THE NHL MUST LOVE THE DEVILS - from who else? A RANGER fan!
[Mark Messier]: A big, bald attention whore with a stupid Easter Island-lookin face. - from who else? DaneykoIsGod!

Even when Marty comes back maybe Larry should put Clemmensen to be on the goal during the shootouts.
Can the coach do that ? Switch the goalies 5 seconds to go in overtime?
- Most priceless quote ever posted on a message board.

Martin Brodeur: THE MOST ALL-TIME WINS!, 12 straight seasons of 30+ wins, 3 Stanley Cups, 4 Vezina Trophies, and zero respect from too many so-called Devils "fans" who are either too young or too bandwagon to remember the much darker days of Sean Burke, Craig Billington, Bob Sauve, Alain Chevrier, and the talented but overwhelmed Chico Resch, among many others.

It's easy to support a great player when he's playing at his very best. It takes a true fan to support that same player during those rare moments and stretches when he's not. Babe Ruth went 0-4 some games, and sometimes Wayne Gretzky was held pointless. There may be such a thing as greatness, but no such thing as absolute perfection every single night.

Give them a lot of credit here, they came out and wanted it. They had no choice but to lay it all out.

Schneider was not great, but goal 1 and 3 are unstoppable tips. Not sure what he can do. But he let in 3 goals and the Devils won. That does not happen.

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.

"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

Much needed win!  I know we gave up 3 goals, but we were actually very good defensively imo.  One bad goal by Schneider, and 2 goals on deflections.  You can't defend those goals.  Simply put, it was more bad luck than it was bad play by the Devils.  The Devils effort was excellent imo.  Only one real bone head play which was the play that lead to the breakaway by Parise.

But I still expect a lot of complaining from a lot of fans tonight.

This was sweet. A loss tonight would've been the nail in the emotional coffin.

Thank God we got this win. We needed this one desperately. Same with the rags on Saturday.

Yea goals 1 and 3 were hard to judge but who knows how Debo will look at it. 2 points are two points, and much needed.

LGD!!

Barely any help on the OOT scoreboard. Shocker. None of the teams we need to lose are losing. I'm starting to think fvcking stupid Columbus will never lose again.

After tonight, me personally, I can put the Parise thing to rest. I'm happy he now knows that fans were pissed he left, not simply indifferent.

As for the Devs, I'm very happy they played hard and won. Good to see the team give it their all under such dire circumstances. I wish Greene would score like that a little more often, take his game to the next level.

I had far too much fun booing Zach tonight. It really brought the energy out in the crowd for the first time in awhile. Definitely a nice change of pace.

As for the game, it's sad that I called the blown lead as soon as we went up 3-1. Very frustrating but they pulled it out.
