It's fine...Minnesota is going to get spanked by Chicago. Colorado was a smoke and mirrors team anyway

Worst, we have to somehow put all our marbles into Boston, Anaheim, Montreal or Chicago cause we'd have a chance for

Minnesota vs NYR
Minnesota vs Pitt
LA vs NYR
LA vs Pitt

God awful nightmare..

Pitt seems like the lesser of all evils there. The other ones will just drive me to drink

Yeah, its just the thought that it can happen. With all the bad luck we have, it can still get worse..

You can be a loser without being spineless.

TSN is reporting Tortorella will be out tomorrow with Vancouver. I wonder if he's a possibility for SJ after they fire Mclellan.

This is true, but that team just.. Rolled over in the 3rd. So much talent, but it just didn't come together, and hasn't so many times.

Its over with that group in SJ, I'm tearing down the walls if I'm ownership there. That core has choked their last choke together. I honestly feel bad for their fans.

I've been watching this team for years locally, so I really wasn't surprised.  I've always had a feeling that as long as they have Thornton and Marleau as their top guys, they won't win a Cup.  They just seem to disappear during the playoffs.  It's too bad, the Sharks have a really great fanbase--the fans deserve better than this.

Oh for sure, and that's who I really feel bad for. Their fans deserve some success with all the nonsense they've had to endure.. And yet here we are.

Do you think they'll "blow it up"? I usually hate that phrase but.. I'm with you - I just don't know if they'll find any post season success with the current veteran core. Bleh, really sucks to be a Sharks fan right now.

Maybe he could get them some fools gold like he did with the Rags in 2012

The problem is that Doug Wilson resigned both Thornton and Marleau to 3 year contracts through 2017. They did a Parise-Suter type agreement but for a lot lesser term and $$$--I'll resign if he resigns, type of thing with a bit of a hometown discount.  At this point, I'm curious to see if they get rid of Wilson.  I just don't think getting a new coach will change things.

Tomorrow's local sports section of the newspaper should be interesting.

I'm rooting for a Anaheim-Montreal finals with the Ducks winning the cup. I want to see Saku Koivu win.
