I'm surprised, too, at the timing of that article. The Wild look pretty good to me, and they are headed in the right direction.

As much as it hurts to admit, I agree.  They got two really good players who can be cornerstones of their franchise and both will set a great example for their young guys on how to be true professionals.  I think you can see that already.  Their future looks pretty good.

That being said, if the rumors are true and they go and throw a boatload of money at Vanek, all bets are off.  That dude has horrible contract written all over him.

He was at the games in Miami too. I think he's buddies with Prokhorov.

Quick search of twitter has that same joke made 100 times. Not saying you stole it. Speaking of twitter...

Ilya Kovalchuk has shown up for more games in North America than Steve Bernier did this season

"The Stanley Cup has fallen from the Stars. The new millennium has its first Stanley Cup Champion, and it's the New Jersey Devils." Mike Miller calling the Devils winning the Stanley Cup.

"It goes to the captain and then there are handoffs during a skate around the ice" Mike Emrick as Scott Stevens is being presented the Stanley Cup.

4-1 Ducks. I hope they don't take their foot off the pedal and knock the kings out next game.

And it would not go. Damn that was a hell of a sequence to not score for the Kings

Its crazy how that only 1 time in this round a team has won after giving up the first goal.

I don't know if there's any scenario I'm down with. I guess anything is "fine" as long as the Rangers don't win. Really don't want the Kings to win either, Habs fans are insufferable (though I quite like their team), Ducks = bleh, Wild can go get lost in the woods...so yeah I guess go Hawks?

this is inevitable at this point. In a season where everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong.

Habs vs Rangers in the conference final, there's no way around it now.

fvck this fvcking season

Yeah I've said it before, but I'm with you Marshall.  I'm sick of the Hawks though, so..Ducks bandwagon all the way.

In the East...meh I honestly hate Boston the least I guess.

They said on NHL Network that Mario took Crosby aside to talk to him about his behavior at the end of game 6 and the way he needs to play. Interesting.

“It’s going to be great,” Subban told the media gathered at his locker after the Game 6 win. “I can’t wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building [in Boston]. I can’t wait to take that all away from them.”

Oh man, this should be one hell of a game 7.
